Founded in 1974, the Medical University of Pleven integrates therapy and education to train medical students for excellence in the field of medicine. The Medical University of Pleven integrates education with research, offering students opportunities to engage in scientific studies. The university features a hospital with over 1,000 beds, a pre-clinical training center, numerous research facilities, and specialized clinics. After earning an MD from Pleven or another medical school, students have the opportunity to engage in research. Throughout the six-year medical program, students learn to treat patients and are awarded an MD degree, qualifying them as physicians.
