Founded in 1986, Bangladesh Medical College (BMC) is the oldest private medical college in Bangladesh. It is affiliated with the University of Dhaka and recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC). BMC offers a 5-year MBBS program followed by a 1-year mandatory internship, designed to provide both theoretical knowledge and clinical expertise.

The college has its own fully functional teaching hospital — Bangladesh Medical College Hospital — which offers hands-on clinical training to students from the early years of the program. The medium of instruction is English, and the curriculum is aligned with BMDC standards.
