About PAHS
Established in 2008 by an act of the Nepalese Parliament, Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS) is a public medical institution located in Lalitpur, Nepal. Affiliated with Tribhuvan University, the oldest university in Nepal, PAHS was founded to train healthcare professionals for rural and underserved areas.
The MBBS program at PAHS is a six-year course that includes rigorous academic learning and hands-on clinical training. Most of the clinical exposure happens in rural health settings and Patan Hospital—its primary teaching hospital. The academy also offers postgraduate programs like MPH, MD/MS, and various nursing degrees.
